Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | Birmingham | Hybrid | Up to £55K

I’m working with a growing, globally recognised engineering business looking to bring in a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen their design team.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing engine ancillaries (oil, water & fuel pumps)
• Leading concept & detailed design, including e-pumps for data centre applications
• Applying first principles engineering & problem-solving
• Ensuring designs are optimised for manufacture (DFM)
• Producing 3D CAD models, drawings & engineering reports
• Collaborating with internal teams, customers & suppliers

What they’re looking for

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years’ experience
• Strong 3D CAD capability (Creo preferred)
• Background in electro-mechanical product design
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA & DFM
• Experience with metal & plastic components
• Exposure to rotating components (bearings, seals, gears) is a bonus
