Tax Compliance & Reporting Specialist (EMEA)

Hybrid – London (2 days a week on site)

Permanent | Full-time

The Opportunity

We are working with a well known insurance company to hire a Tax Compliance & Reporting Specialist into their EMEA tax team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global, forward-thinking organisation where you will take ownership of corporate tax compliance and reporting across the UK and Europe, while supporting US GAAP tax activities. The role offers strong exposure to international tax, senior stakeholders, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare, review and file UK and EU corporate tax returns
  • Manage Lloyd’s returns, statutory filings and tax disclosures
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies

Technical Delivery

  • Prepare and review tax computations and reconciliations
  • Support US GAAP tax provisions, including deferred tax and disclosures
  • Analyse book-to-tax differences and provide technical insight

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes and controls
  • Support automation and implementation of new technologies, including AI tools
  • Improve data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capability

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with finance teams, global tax colleagues, and external advisors
  • Support tax audits and handle queries from tax authorities
  • Provide guidance on UK and EU corporate tax matters

Reporting & Insights

  • Deliver tax reporting, analysis, and compliance tracking
  • Present insights, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders

About You

✔ ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent) qualified

✔ Proven experience in UK & EU corporate tax compliance

✔ Exposure to tax reporting and/or US GAAP tax provisions

✔ Insurance or Lloyd’s market experience (highly desirable but not mandatory )

✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

✔ Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience

✔ Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
