Do you enjoy taking ownership of engineering projects from manufacture through to delivery? Do you have experience within machining, welding, metallurgy or testing environments? Looking for a hands-on role within a global engineering manufacturer supplying the energy sector?
I’m supporting a global manufacturer of bespoke engineered machinery and equipment used across a range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Energy and industrial manufacturing, who are looking to appoint a Project Engineer in Walsall.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role sitting at the centre of operations, coordinating manufacturing, testing and delivery activities while acting as the key link between customers, suppliers and internal teams.
You’ll work across a variety of bespoke engineering projects in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating engineering projects through manufacture, testing and delivery
- Managing project schedules, budgets and customer requirements
- Working closely with engineering, production and external suppliers
- Supporting workshop activities including assembly and testing
- Managing project documentation, quotations and reporting
- Ensuring quality and HSE standards are maintained throughout projects
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Background in welding, machining, metallurgy, forging or testing environments advantageous
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on, proactive and customer-focused approach
