Senior UX Designer – SC Eligible
Location: Wokingham, UK
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Day Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to join a high-performing digital delivery team working on complex, user-centred platforms within a secure environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a UX professional who thrives in collaborative Agile teams and is passionate about designing intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping end-to-end user experiences across enterprise-scale applications, from discovery and research through to prototyping and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
UX Design & Strategy
- Lead end-to-end UX design activities including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
- Develop user journeys, personas, interaction flows, and design concepts
- Define and maintain UX standards, best practices, and design consistency
- Deliver intuitive and user-focused experiences across digital products
User Research & Validation
- Conduct interviews, usability testing, and user research activities
- Translate research findings into actionable design improvements
- Validate concepts through iterative testing and stakeholder feedback
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Present and communicate design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Accessibility & Compliance
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards including WCAG
- Support delivery within secure environments requiring SC eligibility or active SC clearance
- Contribute to inclusive and compliant digital experiences
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio of delivered digital products
- Strong expertise in:
- User-centred design
- Interaction design
- Accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Usability testing and prototyping
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Proficiency with tools such as:
- Figma
- Adobe XD
- Sketch (or similar)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments
- Previous experience on enterprise or public sector digital transformation programmes
- SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance
