Job Description:

We are partnering with a growing, PE backed organisation operating within a specialist scientific and technical environment to appoint an HR Partner, Operations & People.

This is a broad, hands on HR role within a multi site business undergoing significant operational evolution.

Working as part of a small UK HR team, you will play a key role in supporting managers, strengthening HR operations, improving systems and helping embed consistent and compliant people practices across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys autonomy, variety and practical problem solving in a fast moving environment.

The Role

Working closely with the HR Lead, you will support a UK employee population of around 300 employees across multiple locations. The role offers broad exposure across operational HR, employee relations, systems, process improvement and business partnering, with genuine opportunity to influence how HR is delivered across the organisation.

You will become a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding and contracts through to absence management, occupational health, employee relations and day to day people support. Alongside the operational HR activity, you will also play an important role in helping the business improve how it works, supporting the ongoing development of HR systems, workflows, reporting and payroll related processes.

The organisation is continuing to strengthen its HR foundations and this role will suit someone who enjoys improving processes, bringing structure to evolving environments and building strong working relationships across operational and technical teams. You will work closely with managers who are highly knowledgeable and passionate within their specialist fields, helping support and guide them across people related matters with a practical and commercially grounded approach.

About You

You will likely bring experience from an operational HR environment and feel comfortable working independently within a small, collaborative team. You will have strong relationship building skills, sound judgement and the ability to balance empathy with pragmatism.

A strong systems and process mindset will be important, alongside confidence working with HR data, workflows and operational improvement activity. Experience supporting HR systems, payroll processes or transformation related projects would be highly advantageous.

This role offers the opportunity to join a growing organisation at an important stage in its development.

You will gain broad exposure across operational HR, systems, process improvement and business partnering, whilst working within a collaborative and supportive environment where your contribution will have genuine visibility and impact.

Hybrid working is available, with the role aligned to the Derby area.
