Studio FF&E is a growing and forward-thinking furniture manufacturer, known for delivering high-quality, design-led interiors for commercial, residential, and development clients. Located within our modern facility in Normanton, we specialise in the design and production of bespoke furniture for clients including the Department for Education (DfE) and Ministry of Defence (MoD).

With a strong and expanding pipeline of work, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, we are looking for a highly experienced Joinery Project Designer with a strong understanding of how a bespoke joinery workshop operates, including furniture manufacture, production processes, and installation requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate technical and manufacturing drawings
  • Produce production drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications
  • Develop practical joinery detailing suitable for workshop production and site installation
  • Coordinate with architects, site teams, and internal production departments
  • Revise and update drawings as projects develop
  • Support CNC programming and factory production processes
  • Ensure all designs are practical, manufacturable, and installation-ready
  • Assist in resolving technical and site-related challenges

Essential:

  • Proven experience in bespoke joinery and interior fit-out manufacturing
  • Strong technical detailing and production knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of CNC production processes and workshop workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across departments

Candidates should have strong experience using:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • SolidWorks
  • Autodesk Inventor
  • Woodwork for Inventor
