Job Description:

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager for a 12 month contract role with a leading multinational Biotech client. Fully field based – Cardiff and South Wales to Surrey area.

An exciting, opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Liver Team as a Therapeutic Specialist working within the Liver Franchise in the South West & South Wales territory. In this role you will be responsible for leading across our Liver Portfolio, being responsible for a new launch in PBC and continued growth in Hepatitis D.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial outcomes: Achieve and exceed territory sales, market share, and performance objectives for the liver portfolio.
  • Build strategic customer relationships: Develop, maintain, and expand high-value relationships with key healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Execute omnichannel engagement: Plan and deliver tailored, multichannel interactions aligned to customer needs and account priorities.
  • Demonstrate scientific expertise: Maintain strong product and disease knowledge (PBC, HDV); clearly communicate appropriate use and differentiation of therapies.
  • Drive data-led performance: Use internal systems and market insights to track progress, identify opportunities, and implement targeted actions.
  • Own territory planning: Develop and execute a clear, insight-driven business plan with defined priorities, targets, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated account plans.
  • Identify and escalate risks/opportunities: Proactively surface issues, drive resolution, and inform relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accountability: Take ownership of personal performance and contribute to shared cross-functional outcomes.
  • Ensure operational excellence: Deliver all administrative and operational requirements to a high standard.
  • Act as a credible representative at meetings and events, delivering compliant engagement.
  • Uphold compliance and integrity: Operate in line with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Education and background: Degree (or equivalent) or nursing background with relevant pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
  • Compliance qualification: ABPI qualification essential.
  • Account management experience: Proven track record in account planning and delivering cross-functional account strategies.
  • Specialist sales experience: Hospital sales experience essential; liver disease expertise advantageous.
  • Commercial mindset: Strong drive to commercialise specialty medicines; combines competitive focus, scientific acumen, and tactical execution.
  • Rapid impact and execution: quickly gets up to speed, executes with pace, and delivers early, measurable growth.
  • Self-leadership: Highly self-motivated; able to operate with autonomy, pace, and ownership.
  • Adaptability: Responds effectively to changing environments; translates new challenges into practical, creative solutions.
  • Relationship leadership: Builds credibility quickly; able to influence and lead across internal teams and with external stakeholders, including KOLs.
