Job Title: Regional Manager – North (Pathology)

Location: Manchester (Occasional travel across region)

Salary: Circa £80,000 – £90,000

We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware pathology operations leader to join the business as Operational Site Lead / Regional Manager (North).

This is a high-profile senior leadership opportunity within a growing private diagnostics organisation, offering the chance to lead a modern, purpose-built laboratory operation while overseeing regional pathology services across the North.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the Manchester hub laboratory alongside operational oversight of regional spoke services across Birmingham and Glasgow.

You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the regional pathology network while ensuring exceptional operational performance, quality standards and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational performance of the Manchester laboratory hub
  • Oversee regional laboratory relationships and service delivery
  • Drive KPI performance, quality standards and operational efficiency
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing and service development
  • Support strategic growth and change initiatives
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS / ISO15189 and relevant governance standards
  • Lead and support multidisciplinary laboratory teams

About You

We are interested in speaking with operational pathology leaders who bring:

  • Strong laboratory operations experience
  • A background within pathology or diagnostic services
  • Experience managing teams and operational performance
  • Exposure to UKAS / ISO15189 environments
  • Strong stakeholder and leadership capability
  • A proactive and forward-thinking leadership style

Experience within Blood sciences, Blood transfusion, Private pathology, Laboratory automation or transformation projects would be particularly advantageous.
