Role Overview-
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers to drive sales growth, expand market presence, and increase revenue. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and supporting long-term strategic partnerships-
Key Responsibilities-
- Identify and develop new OEM customers and strategic partnerships.
- Manage and grow existing OEM accounts across assigned regions or industries.
- Promote full product portfolio
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Develop sales forecasts, pipelines, and business plans.
- Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets and profitability objectives.
- Maintain CRM records and provide regular sales reports to management.
Skills & Experience-
- Proven experience in business development or sales within OEM, industrial, electrical, or safety equipment sectors.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and OEM account management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel frequently across the UK & Europe – You can be based personally anywhere in the UK
- Knowledge of signalling, fire safety, or industrial products & industry is preferred but isn’t must have
Benefits-
Salary is £45,000 – £50,000 D.O.E, 20% Bonus and fully expensed car plus wider business benefits. The business also offers role and package progression as KPI’s are met across revenue growth and new customer acquisition.
