Business Development Manager Job Overview
• Develop and grow the Industrial & Automation sales channel across the UK
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within key industrial sectors
• Manage and develop relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end users
• Provide technical solutions and support based on customer requirements
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and business opportunities
• Maintain CRM systems and support sales reporting activities
Business Development Manager Job Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within technical or industrial B2B sales
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electromechanical products and industrial applications
• Experience managing distributor networks and customer accounts
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to analyse market trends and sales data to support business strategy
• Proficient with CRM/ERP systems
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
