An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Cost Improvement Programme PMO, where you will play a key role in supporting colleagues to develop cost improvement programmes to transform and improve services and deliver financial benefits.

Main duties of the job

As Head of CIP PMO, you will lead the co‑ordination and governance of cost reduction and efficiency programmes and support best‑practice governance and programme management across schemes. You will review, challenge and provide independent assurance across development, delivery and financial reporting of cost reduction and productivity schemes.

You will need excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across directorate and corporate teams to identify opportunities and develop new programmes.

Qualifications, Accreditations, Education

  • Educated to degree and master’s level in relevant subject or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Significant senior leadership experience within large, complex organisations, preferably within the NHS or public sector including CIP, financial management and influencing senior leaders.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical, financial, problem‑solving, communication and planning skills.
