Our team embodies our values daily, to surpass client expectations, evolve constantly and nurture genuine relationships for the long-term.Job requirementsThe RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Director based in London to lead our Group financial reporting function and ensure strong governance and a robust control environment across our international operations.Reporting to the Deputy CFO, this is a key leadership role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and private equity investors. You will bring deep technical expertise alongside a forward-looking, technology-enabled mindset to drive finance transformation and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS/US GAAPOversee and continuously enhance the month-end close process, improving efficiency and maintaining strong financial controlsManage the Group audit cycle, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of findingsEnsure statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictionsDevelop and maintain Group accounting policies, providing expert technical guidance on complex transactionsMonitor and assess emerging accounting standards, preparing technical papers and policy updatesPartner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Commercial teams on strategic initiatives and transactionsDrive finance transformation, including automation, ERP optimisation, and adoption of data and AI-enabled toolsCollaborate with the India-based Global Capability Centre (GCC) to standardise processes and maintain data integrityWork closely with IT and transformation teams to align finance systems with the wider business strategyHere’s what we’re looking for:Essential experienceQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA)10+ years’ post-qualification experienceStrong technical accounting expertise, including Group consolidationsProven experience in multi-entity, international organisationsDeep understanding of audit, controls, and financial governanceDesirable ExperienceExperience in a private equity-backed businessExposure to working with offshore finance teams or Global Capability Centres (India preferred)Involvement in M&A, transformation, or integration programmesBackground in high-growth or acquisitive organisationsWhy Join Aptia?Be part of a growing, international organisation at the forefront of innovationInfluence and shape the future of a modern, technology-driven finance functionWork closely with senior leadership and investors in a high-impact roleJoin a collaborative, forward-thinking environment focused on continuous improvementHow to applyIf you are interested in this role, then we’d love to hear from you.
