Fire & Security Installation EngineerLondon & Home Counties | Permanent | Company Vehicle ProvidedOptions Resourcing are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing Fire & Security business for an experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with experience across fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting systems to join a reputable company offering long-term career development, ongoing training, and excellent earning potential through overtime and call-out payments.The majority of works are based across London and the Home Counties, with occasional travel further afield when required.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and repair of:
Fire alarm systemsIntruder alarm systemsCCTV systemsAccess control systemsEmergency lightingCarrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairsCommissioning new fire and security systemsEnsuring compliance with BS 5839, BS 5266, NSI, FIA, and relevant industry standardsCompleting all required documentation including certificates and service recordsProviding technical support and advice to customersParticipating in the on-call rotaMaintaining company equipment, tools, and vehicleWorking in accordance with health & safety proceduresRequirements
Proven experience installing and servicing fire and security systemsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of relevant fire and security regulations and standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyFull UK driving licenceDesirableFIA training qualificationsElectrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds)Experience with systems including:GentAdvancedKentecMorleyHoneywellTexecomHikvisionPaxtonKnowledge of IP-based systems and networkingIPAF certificationPackage & Benefits
