Job Overview
We are looking for an organised and proactive team player to join our pharmacy team. In this role you’ll manage medical gas cylinders, reduce waste by managing storage, expiry checks and stock rotation.
Main Duties
- Ensure the safe, efficient and accurate storage and rotation of medical gas cylinders across hospital sites.
- Manage and supervise the medical gas cylinder stores, perform expiry date checks and segregate partially used cylinders for re‑use.
- Support, train and supervise porters in new processes and cylinder management.
- Assist with audits of medical gases, focusing on security and efficiency of returned cylinders.
- Document and maintain high safety standards and service levels.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent experience.
- Experience in pharmacy or medical gas cylinder work.
- Prior storekeeper experience or general porter role with medical gas cylinder responsibilities.
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
- Planning and setting priorities for self and other staff.
- Ability to deal with emergency supply requests.
- Training of other staff.
