REQ5692

We’re looking for a detail-driven Social Impact Coordinator to join our Customer Experience directorate within the Social Impact Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, governance, and regulatory compliance across our Social Impact programmes. These programmes deliver vital support to vulnerable customers and communities, including initiatives funded by the Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Initiatives and the Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA).

This is an exciting opportunity to combine data analysis, reporting, and finance administration with meaningful work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

We deliver safety, warmth and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, tracking and reviewing reporting from funded partners to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Creating and auditing reports for key business areas, including Careline, Safe & Warm, and Care and Repair, producing MI packs for senior leaders.
  • Carrying out detailed Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis and social value calculations using the industry‑standard framework.
  • Supporting the VCMA Finance Tracker, including raising and managing purchase orders, monitoring invoices, reconciling accounts and preparing data for regulatory reporting.
  • Leading on audit and compliance, ensuring strong governance, transparency and robust data management across all Social Impact initiatives.

What you will need

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum Maths and English Level 2 qualifications (preferable).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, macros, Power Query, conditional formatting, charts/graphs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and customer‑based IT systems.
  • Ability to analyse large data sets with high attention to detail, identifying trends and presenting insights.
  • Willingness to learn new systems.

Research shows some people – particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds – may hesitate to apply unless they meet every criteria. At SGN, we value diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
