OverviewOur client is a well-established precision engineering business specialising in CNC machining, turning, and milling for a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join their skilled production team.This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual seeking long-term stability and the chance to work on technically challenging, high-precision components.
Role SummaryYou will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines, ensuring efficient production and maintaining high-quality standards across all work.
Key Responsibilities_ Program, set, and operate CNC lathes_ Work with Mazak (Mazatrol)_ Carry out machine changeovers and tooling setups_ Edit and optimise programmes both online and offline_ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications_ Manufacture components to tight tolerances_ Select suitable tooling and work holding solutions_ Support continuous improvement within the machining process_ Work both independently and as part of a team_ Assist or lead others where required
Skills & Experience_ Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer_ Strong CNC programming, setting, and operating background_ Mazatrol and Fanuc experience (essential)_ Experience with Citizen and Miyano machines_ Offline programming capability_ Solid understanding of tooling and machining techniques_ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings_ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills_ Previous supervisory or leadership experience (advantageous)_ Good communication skills
