As a Senior Competitor Analyst at Nexperia, you will play a critical role in strengthening our competitive position within the power semiconductor market. You’ll lead the physical and electrical analysis of competitor MOSFET technologies, generate high-value benchmarking insights, and support strategic decision-making across Product Development, Marketing, Technology Roadmapping, and wider business planning. This is a highly collaborative, technically demanding role where your expertise in Failure Analysis techniques and data analytics will directly influence our product portfolio, cost models, and long-term technology direction. What you will do As a Senior Competitor Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality competitor intelligence and cost / performance benchmarking outputs. Your key responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed physical analysis ‘teardown’ of competitor MOSFET devices to package and wafer level using Failure Analysis techniques (FIB, SEM, X-ray)
- Coordinating electrical performance benchmarking of competitor products versus Nexperia devices
- Providing cost estimates of competitor products and technologies
- Developing, calibrating, and refining cost models
- Delivering technical data and analytical insights to R&D and Marketing
- Monitoring MOSFET technology trends and competitor activity
- Overseeing the physical analysis pipeline, including 3rd-party labs
- Conducting benchmark reviews and contributing to DeepDive sessions
- Driving improvement activities within the benchmarking function
- High-quality competitor teardown and cost / performance benchmarking reports
- Accurate cost models
- Quarterly competitor updates
- DeepDive input and technology insights
- Improved throughput and efficiency of the physical analysis pipeline
- Analytical insights that influence technology developments, product portfolios and strategic direction
Degree in Electrical / Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or related discipline
- Several years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, or similar
- Advanced knowledge & skills on Failure Analysis techniques (FIB, SEM, X-ray)
- Proficient understanding of semiconductor devices, process flows and manufacturing
- Advanced level in statistical methods, modelling, and database management
- Experience in creating analysis reports, dashboards, and data visualisation (Excel, PowerBI)
- Excellent communication skills, able to present to peers and senior stakeholders
- Strong collaborator, able to engage and discuss ideas with stakeholders
Coding skills (eg Python)
- Understanding of the power semiconductor business, it’s technologies and portfolios
