Location: Lenworth Clinic in Ashford, Kent.
Qualifications
- Doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, or equivalent for psychotherapists.
- Significant experience working within mental health services (ideally children and young people’s services).
- Membership with relevant organisations such as HCPC, BABCP, BPC or UKCP.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Responsibilities
- Clinical lead responsibilities for the service, collaborating with the team manager to run a safe and effective service; deputise as the most senior member of the team in absence.
- Maintain own caseload of assessment, individual and group interventions; share clinical expertise to build team knowledge and skills.
- Work confidently with complex mental health presentations in children and young people and with the personal and professional network relevant to the young person.
- Attend organisational meetings to represent the local team, contribute to delivery of evidence‑based interventions and identify training needs.
- Offer regular clinical supervision to the team and support development of trainees where within competence.
