Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our existing team of Consultants to commence as soon as possible.
The world is your oyster— as an EM consultant you really can work anywhere. So why work with us at Southend? The most important aspect of your job is your colleagues; you will be spending a lot of time with them. You may join what has been reported by our trainees as ‘the friendliest and most supportive team I have ever worked in’. We have zero (yes zero) agency spend on doctors.
We have approximately 130 000 attendees a year and stream over 20% daily to the onsite GP service, so you will only have to see and manage true EM patients. A separate paediatric ED area exists for which we also stream non-emergency cases to GP. We encourage a variety of job plans with 2.5 SPA and would look to integrate your specialist interests into your role. We are committed to clinical shop floor presence, training and hands-on clinicians.
