Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in acute nursing to join our intensive care team. Previous experience in intensive care nursing would be an advantage, but individuals with interest and potential from other backgrounds will also be considered. A high level of interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Applicants should be able to adapt to an unpredictable, rapidly evolving, technologically advanced work environment and able to cope with change.
Unit Description
The ICU at Forth Valley Royal Hospital is a 19 bedded combined general unit caring for individuals with a variety of complex needs ranging from level 2 to full level 3 care including respiratory, renal and cardiac support.

Requirements
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Working patterns
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
