Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Rochdale, is looking to recruit an experienced Projects & Manufacturing Engineer to join their Technical Sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to play a key role in new project introduction, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams to ensure the successful delivery of customer projects while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Projects & Manufacturing EngineerKey Responsibilities
Support and coordinate new product introduction and development projectsManage cross-functional project activities across Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and SalesDrive process improvement and continuous improvement initiativesLiaise with customers and suppliers to support smooth project implementationPrepare project status updates and support NPI activitiesMaintain accurate specifications, BOMs, routings, and project documentation within the ERP systemManage product samples and associated documentationSupport ERP system development and process improvementsReview existing manufacturing processes and identify efficiency improvementsAssist with product costing, pricing, and production cost analysisProjects & Manufacturing EngineerCandidate Requirements
Essential:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standardsExperience working with manufacturing ERP systemsStrong background in process improvement / continuous improvementHND qualified in an Engineering disciplineExcellent organisational and communication skillsStrong IT skills including Microsoft OfficeFull UK driving licenceDesirable:
Experience within plastics, moulding, or added-value manufacturingDegree qualified in an Engineering disciplineWhat’s on Offer
