Job Introduction
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Specialist Tutor in Dyslexia to join our Inclusion Team. You will support our learners in a learner‑centred, inclusive environment, with the following key responsibilities:
- Work within the Additional Support Team to take referrals for support and to design and implement individual support programmes.
- Collaborate within the Dyslexia team to develop good practice and provide a coordinated service to learners with Dyslexia.
- Assist students at pre‑entry to guide and coordinate course selection.
- Assess needs and design support programmes with students, carers and other professionals, including the use of adaptive technology, LSA’s and special exam arrangements, and deliver teaching when required.
- Follow Additional Support practice, e.g. complete TLIPs and Student Track to evidence support received.
What you’ll bring
You will hold an L7 SpLD (Dyslexia) qualification and have experience of providing support to learners at all levels across a range of vocational and academic programmes.
You will possess a team‑oriented focus, being open and approachable to learners with complex and diverse needs. Ability to liaise with internal and external professionals to ensure the best support is in place for students is required. Experience within an FE setting is desirable.
