Breast Imaging Clinical Service Manager – Band 8B
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer with significant leadership and management experience to join Barts Health NHS Trust as Breast Imaging Clinical Service Manager.
St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the oldest working hospital in the UK, is part of one of the largest NHS Trusts.
The post-holder will lead the Breast Imaging service across three sites, providing strategic direction, operational management and visible leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient‑centred services.
This role is suitable for an experienced Radiographer looking to lead a complex, multi‑site service. While experience in Breast Imaging is desirable, strong management and leadership capability is essential.

The post-holder will be responsible for the strategic, operational and governance leadership of Breast Imaging services across the Barts Health network.
Key responsibilities
- Leading service delivery across symptomatic and screening pathways
- Managing performance, quality, governance and compliance
- Providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including mammographers, radiologists and imaging assistants
- Overseeing workforce planning, staff development and education
- Driving service improvement, transformation and modernisation
- Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders including the Head of Diagnostics, Clinical Lead and General Manager
- Representing the service at Trust, divisional and external meetings
