Personal Care Support – Specialist Support Practitioner

Newcastle College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Support Practitioners to join a passionate team that supports the achievements of students with additional learning needs and disabilities.

In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of student success and will:

• Provide personal care with dignity
• Support inclusive learning
• Help students access campus and curriculum
• Support awareness raising and understanding of access and inclusion

Qualifications

• Warm, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
• Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)
• Flexibility to work evenings and support off‑site provision
• Experience of supporting individuals with personal care needs
• Willingness to develop skills to support individuals with complex personal care needs (with training and support required)
