Support for Learning Assistants (Junior and Senior School) – Hamilton College Part-time, Term-time only, 20 hours per week Hamilton College is a non-denominational Christian independent school for children and young people from the ages of 2-18. Hamilton College is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated Support for Learning Assistants – one in our Junior School and one in our Senior School. These are excellent opportunities to join a supportive and forward-thinking school community, helping learners to thrive both academically and socially while supporting high standards of learning and teaching. The Roles Working under the direction of the Learning Support Leads and alongside teaching staff, you will play a key role in supporting learners across the curriculum, promoting independence and ensuring all pupils are able to access learning effectively. Across both Junior and Senior School settings, you will: · Support learners’ engagement in classroom activities and learning programmes · Assist pupils with additional support needs, helping them to progress and achieve their potential · Promote positive behaviour and act as a strong role model · Support wellbeing, care and inclusion within the school environment · Assist with classroom organisation, resources and preparation · Contribute to assessment processes, including observation and feedback · Support literacy, numeracy and wider learning development · Supervise breaks/lunchtimes and assist with trips, events and wider school activities where required We are looking for individuals who: · Have strong interpersonal and communication skills · Are patient, nurturing and adaptable in their approach · Can work effectively as part of a team · Understand supporting children and young people in an educational setting · Are committed to promoting independence, inclusion and high expectations Previous experience in a school environment is desirable.
