Senior Real Estate Lawyer – London (for AI Law Firm)
A next-generation law firm at the intersection of private equity, real estate, and AI-enabled legal services is seeking a senior real estate lawyer to build and lead a strategically important practice area from London.
Founded by senior operators from elite legal and technology backgrounds, the firm is backed by leading institutional investors and is redefining how sophisticated legal work is delivered to modern businesses, funds, and investors.
The successful lawyer will operate as the senior figure within the real estate vertical – leading client relationships, shaping delivery infrastructure, helping architect AI-enabled legal workflows, and playing a central role in the long-term growth of the platform.
The firm advises an international client base including private equity sponsors, institutional investors, owner-operator developers, and businesses across the living sector, including student accommodation, healthcare, and operational real estate.
The Opportunity
This role is designed for a commercially minded senior lawyer who wants meaningful influence over both legal delivery and the future direction of a modern legal platform.
You will:
- Lead complex real estate transactions and strategic client mandates end-to-end
- Build trusted relationships with sophisticated investors, developers, and operating businesses
- Help design and refine AI-enabled legal workflows and transaction processes
- Contribute to the development of scalable legal products and delivery systems
- Operate with significant autonomy in a highly entrepreneurial environment
- Work directly alongside senior lawyers and operators from top-tier international firms and technology businesses
Candidate Profile
The firm is interested in speaking with exceptional real estate lawyers across a broad range of seniority levels, although the mandate is expected to suit lawyers with approximately 8+ years’ PQE, including more senior partner-level profiles.
Particular interest in lawyers with:
- Strong real estate transactional experience gained at a leading UK or US law firm
- Exposure to private equity, M&A, or complex commercial transactions involving real estate assets
- Experience advising institutional investors, developers, or real estate-backed operating businesses
- A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
- Interest in legal innovation, process design, and technology-enabled delivery
- In-house experience viewed positively, particularly where it demonstrates commercial versatility and operational judgment
The firm places significant value on pedigree and client credibility. Lawyers from leading international and Magic Circle firms will be particularly well received.
E&W qualification is essential.
Compensation
- Base salary expected in the region of £150,000 – £225,000
- Performance-based upside linked to business generation and practice growth
