Our client, based in East London, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.
The salary for this position is £38,501 per annum, and the role is office/site-based across local estates.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Carrying out regular estate inspections and identifying issues relating to estate conditions, ASB, repairs, and safeguarding concerns
• Managing tenancy sign-ups, tenancy audits, and tenancy breaches including subletting and unauthorised alterations
• Responding to reports of anti-social behaviour and working closely with residents, police, and partner agencies
• Supporting vulnerable residents through referrals to support services and enhanced housing management
• Monitoring communal repairs and environmental issues, escalating concerns where necessary
• Attending resident meetings, walkabouts, and community forums to promote resident engagement and community cohesion
• Ensuring compliance and fire safety actions are completed in line with legal and organisational requirements
• Maintaining accurate case records and contributing towards service improvement initiatives
Experience required:
• Experience working within housing or estate management
• Experience managing ASB and tenancy-related casework
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
• Knowledge of tenancy management and landlord responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Good IT and case management skills
Working hours:
• Full-Time – 35 hours per week
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required (TOIL provided)
Please note that this role is fully site-based and will involve regular travel between estates. An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
