Overview
Our client, a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking an Architect / Architectural Designer / Technical Architect to join their London office. This role supports the expansion of their developer‑focused architectural services, contributing to the preparation and coordination of design and technical information across RIBA Stages 1–4. With a strong emphasis on Stage 3 coordination and Stage 4 technical delivery, the position offers exposure to a varied portfolio including new‑build schemes, refurbishments, façade upgrades and cladding remediation projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior staff and consultant teams to deliver coordinated, buildable and compliant design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver RIBA Stage 3 planning submissions for residential and mixed‑use developer projects.
- Develop schemes from early concept through to planning‑ready detail.
- Prepare and coordinate planning drawings, reports and consultant inputs.
- Contribute to projects involving existing buildings, including façade alterations, re‑cladding and remediation works.
- Liaise with external consultants such as structural, fire and façade specialists.
- Ensure design quality, technical robustness, regulatory compliance and buildability.
- Support RIBA Stage 4 technical delivery where required.
- Undertake site surveys, condition reviews and assessments of existing information.
- Provide support with Contract Administration or Employer’s Agent duties (with supervision).
- Participate in construction‑phase involvement and undertake site inspections.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience delivering RIBA Stage 3 planning submissions.
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and Building Regulations.
- Solid technical knowledge, particularly relating to façade systems and external envelopes.
- Proficient in Revit (preferred) or AutoCAD.
- Confident coordinating consultant information and resolving technical interfaces.
- Organised, deadline‑driven and commercially aware.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Collaborative, proactive and committed to high‑quality design and delivery.

Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience in cladding remediation or façade replacement projects.
- Familiarity with fire‑related design considerations for existing buildings.
- Exposure to post‑planning technical delivery or construction phases.

- RIBA Part 2 candidates will be supported in progressing toward RIBA Part 3.
- Technologists and Technicians can develop into technical or façade‑focused specialist roles.
