This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end (E2E) continuous improvement interventions across the bank’s products and central functions. Operating at Black Belt level, the individual will diagnose complex process inefficiencies, design and implement targeted interventions, and deliver measurable improvements in cost, customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and risk. Accountable for delivering measurable business outcomes, including cost reduction, productivity improvements, enhanced customer outcomes, and risk reduction, with robust baselining and post-implementation validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead diagnostic reviews of end-to-end customer journeys (front-to-back) and identify control gaps
- Deliver cross-functional redesigns, not just local improvement
- Drive standardisation and simplification at scale
- Own delivery of quantified financial and operational benefit
- Track benefits post-implementation
- Challenge ways of working
- Implement controls to sustain improvements
- Coach Green Belts / local teams
- Support building a CI culture
Skills and Experience
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong financial services experience (banking preferred)
- Proven track record of delivering multi-million £ improvement initiatives
- Experience working across end-to-end processes
- Strong data skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Experience with process mapping & analytics tools
- Strong challenger mindset
- Commercially focused
- Able to influence at senior level
