An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and collaborative Development Sales team within a highly regarded law firm based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on variety and takes pride in delivering a high level of support to both fee earners and clients.

The Role

You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a busy Development Sales team, assisting with a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth running of matters from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative support including filing, scanning, printing and managing incoming post/couriers
  • Preparing and sending completed documents and cover letters
  • Supporting fee earners with file opening and onboarding processes
  • Producing bills, handling invoices and assisting with completion monies
  • Liaising with clients via telephone and email, taking messages and managing queries professionally
  • Submitting searches through online search providers
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and hard copy filing systems
  • Assisting with shared inbox management and wider team support
  • Providing cover for other secretaries within the team when required

About You

  • Previous Legal Secretarial experience within a law firm environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Confident communicator with strong client service skills
  • Fast and accurate typing skills, including audio and copy typing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also using initiative independently
