Civils Site Manager
Salary: £46,000 – £52,000 (DOE)
Car Allowance: £4,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Civils professional with a strong track record in delivering highways reconstruction works, cycle paths, quality bus lanes and corridors, and high‑specification paving. You will be confident working in busy urban environments and managing activity around multiple local businesses and commercial outlets. You will bring clear leadership, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Working closely with subcontractors, internal teams and stakeholders, you will ensure the scheme is delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities
- Support pre‑construction planning, including site set‑up, logistics and coordination of works.
- Lead, manage and motivate site teams, subcontractors and plant operators to deliver safe, high‑quality civils operations.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental regulations and company standards, promoting a strong safety‑first culture.
- Plan and programme works effectively, coordinating activities to achieve project milestones and maintain programme.
- Monitor site progress, identifying and resolving risks or delays to keep delivery on track.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach and high levels of satisfaction.
- Manage site records and reporting, including health and safety, environmental and progress documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive commercial awareness on site, optimising resources and supporting delivery in line with budget requirements.
