Role Overview

The Accounting Product Lead is accountable for the strategy and evolution of the global accounting product suite, including fund accounting, insurance accounting and partnership accounting. The role serves as the single point of accountability across the enterprise, driving client value, commercial performance and modernization while ensuring alignment across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk and senior leadership stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global portfolio of accounting products and capabilities.
  • Define product vision, strategy and a multi‑year roadmap.
  • Integrate accounting, data, reporting and service capabilities into cohesive client solutions.
  • Define market positioning, value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Lead industry analysis and innovation, including modernization initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in client engagements and external industry forums.
  • Align Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to drive strategy, prioritisation and decision‑making.
  • Partner with Sales and Relationship teams to shape client solutions.
  • Own pricing strategy with accountability for product P&L and financial performance.
  • Lead capital planning, investment prioritisation and business case development.
  • Drive revenue growth through a competitive and market‑relevant product strategy.
  • Secure delivery across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, risk and control frameworks.
  • Manage cross‑functional dependencies, execution risks and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in financial services with significant product management experience.
  • Deep expertise in accounting (fund, insurance or partnership accounting preferred).
  • Proven experience managing global product portfolios and P&L ownership.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a strong execution focus.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to influence senior levels.
