The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining life safety and security systems across a portfolio of high-profile sites.**The Role**Working as part of a dedicated service team, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and fault-finding of a wide range of fire and security systems across multiple prison establishments throughout the South of England.The team currently supports 48 prisons located around the M25 corridor, with the majority of work focused across Kent and Sussex. Due to the nature of the contracts, engineers must be comfortable working within secure, controlled environments and willing to travel when required.**Key responsibilities include:**Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Reactive fault finding and repairsSystem testing and compliance inspectionsIdentification of remedial works and system improvementsEmergency call-out attendance when requiredAccurate completion of service reports and certificationSupporting compliance with industry standards and company proceduresMaintaining excellent customer relationships across all sitesSystems Experience RequiredWe are looking for engineers with experience across a range of fire and security systems, including:Fire Alarm SystemsIntruder Alarm SystemsCCTV SystemsAccess Control SystemsIP-Based Security SystemsEngineers with experience across both fire and security disciplines are highly desirable, although candidates with a strong bias in either discipline will be considered.**What’s on Offer?**Salary between £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experienceCompany vehicleOvertime opportunitiesCall-out rota availableOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to work on long-term critical infrastructure contractsSupportive management and technical teamStable employment within a growing organisationExposure to a wide variety of fire and security technologies**What We’re Looking For**Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Fire & Security industryStrong service, maintenance and fault-finding backgroundGood knowledge of current fire and security standards and regulationsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyExcellent communication and customer service skillsPositive attitude and strong attention to detailWillingness to travel throughout the South East region as requiredComfortable working within secure and controlled environments**Essential**Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain EL1 Security ClearanceFIA Level 3 BS 5839-1 FundamentalsECS FESS Gold Card (or equivalent)IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent)Enhanced Security Screening (BS7858)**Desirable**FIA Level 3 Advanced Fire Detection & Alarm qualificationFESS Level 3 NVQ (or working towards)Experience working within prisons, MOD, government or other high-security environmentsKnowledge of networked and IP-based systemsManufacturer-specific product training**Location**Ideally based within Kent, Sussex or surrounding South East locations, with the flexibility to travel across sites throughout the M25 corridor and wider southern region.If you are an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for a varied role supporting critical infrastructure contracts with excellent long-term stability and development opportunities, we would like to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr…
