Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our team based in either Wakefield or Doncaster. You will manage a busy caseload of private client matters and advise clients on complex and taxable estates and trust work.

Responsibilities

  • Managing your own busy caseload of private client matters from start to finish
  • Advising clients on complex and taxable estates, including inheritance tax planning
  • Drafting and administering trusts
  • Preparing wills and advising on estate planning matters
  • Drafting and registering lasting powers of attorney
  • Dealing with estate administration, including high-value and complex estates
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Wakefield and Doncaster offices
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures

Person Specification

  • Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE in private client work
  • STEP qualification (or working towards) desirable
  • Strong experience running a large and varied caseload independently
  • Proven expertise in complex and taxable estates and trust work
  • Confident advising clients on wills, estate planning and LPAs
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Able to work flexibly between the Wakefield and Doncaster offices
