Mott MacDonald is a global engineering consultancy, and we are looking for a Principal Safety Case Engineer for the Energy Unit’s Nuclear, Defence and Civil division.
Overview Of Role
The role covers nuclear power generation, naval nuclear programme and decommissioning. You will be responsible for delivering nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projects, and will mentor junior staff.

- Safety & Risk Assessment

- Probabilistic Safety Assessment
- Nuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy
- Engineering Substantiation
- HAZOP and other identification studies
- HAZAN
- Criticality
- Nuclear Fire
Candidate Specification
- Degree qualified in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in the nuclear or defence industries (high‑hazard industry experience is considered).
- Chartered Engineer or working towards the status.
- Successful track record delivering nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projects.
- Willingness to develop and mentor junior staff.

Offers are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance. No current sponsorship for Skilled Worker visa candidates is offered.
