About the role

This role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and quality improvement, with a strong focus on governance, safety, and service development. You will play a key role in ensuring our pathways and clinical practice remain evidence‑based, efficient, and aligned with national standards. A hypothesis‑testing approach to clinical practice is of utmost importance, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, reliability, and good timekeeping. Upholding the integrity of diagnostic systems, ensuring that the right people get the right help at the right time, is a core value. • Provide leadership on safeguarding, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure clinical pathways align with national guidance and best practice, including standards set by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
  • Support organisational readiness for inspection by the Care Quality Commission, including audits, evidence gathering, and improvement planning
  • Identify, escalate, and manage clinical risks, contributing to risk registers and mitigation plans
  • Lead the development and implementation of outcome measurement frameworks, and represent CARE ADHD in relevant quality networks or accreditation programmes
  • Provide expert clinical input on complex and high‑risk ADHD cases in children and young people
  • Hold a small case load of complex cases
  • Support delivery of peer supervision, MDT discussions, and ongoing clinician development
  • Lead onboarding and support for new assessors and prescribers
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and maintenance of clinical competency frameworks
  • Respond to patient feedback, incidents, and complaints in collaboration with the Quality & Safety team
  • Drive service improvement through analysis of clinical data, patient outcomes, and clinician feedback
  • Contribute to clinical governance meetings, policy development, and research activity
  • Deliver teaching and training on ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and Quality & Safety teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and patient experience
  • Support the safe and effective use of digital clinical systems and platforms
  • Participate in on‑call support for urgent clinical escalations
