Job Summary
Grant Thornton seeks a dedicated audit trainee to support our audit and assurance practice. You will work with a range of clients, from FTSE and AIM listed groups to SMEs, learning the fundamentals of audit and contributing to high‑quality client service.
Responsibilities
- Participate in audit engagements across multiple industry sectors.
- Examine financial records, perform audit tests and complete audit files.
- Attend client meetings and stock‑takes as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide robust recommendations and insights.
- Travel to client offices when necessary.
Apprenticeship Program
- Hands‑on experience in all stages of the audit process.
- Early responsibility and ownership of client work.
- Build a strong internal and external professional network.
- Structured training and on‑the‑job learning.
- Support to study and revise for AAT, ICAS and CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Open to candidates without a degree.
- A strong drive, ambition and curiosity to learn and challenge.
- Adaptability to work at pace and respond to changing client needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
