Responsibilities
- Operate security systems including Access Control System, CCTV, Radio Communication Systems, Intruder Detection Systems and various safety systems.
- Undertake patrols, secure buildings, and operate within a Security Control Room environment.
- Respond to emergencies and act as the initial incident controller.
- Work both as part of a team and independently as a lone worker when required.
- Maintain effective physical control of entry, operation, and monitoring of all security and safety equipment at the site.
Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of security and safety processes.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with confidence in using MS Office applications.
- Strong report‑writing skills.
- Willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends, weekdays and night shifts, and to travel to other MBDA UK sites when required.
- Ability to adapt to challenging circumstances and last‑minute changes, including emergency situations.
- Positive, helpful attitude and calm, professional manner when dealing with internal and external customers.
Salary & Eligibility
Salary: up to £27,800 per annum, depending on experience. Candidates must be British citizens or dual UK nationals with British citizenship; restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
