Senior Project Manager – Rushmore Risk Platform Retirement
Barclays is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the high‑stakes, cross‑desk and cross‑region retirement of the Rushmore Risk platform as part of the Strategic Risk Systems Simplification initiative. The candidate will own the full end‑to‑end plan—prioritizing dependencies, uniting trading, data and technology teams, and ensuring dashboards, data quality and remediation efforts are perfectly synchronized for a seamless, controlled platform cutover.
To Be Successful, You Should Have
- Front Office Delivery & Stakeholder Management – Proven experience delivering change within a front‑office environment, working closely with traders, Strats and technology teams in a fast‑paced, demanding setting.
- Hands‑on Project Execution & Dependency Management
- Structured Requirements Gathering & Delivery Tooling – Demonstrated ability to collect, structure and prioritise requirements, and organise delivery using standard bank tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, delivery dashboards) and Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
- Using technical data and burn‑ups to help inform and evidence timelines.
- Stakeholder expectation management and communication, as a distinct item.
Other Highly Valued Skills
- Technical Project Management background.
- Experience in Risk Platform Migration or System Decommissioning.
- Experience delivering under strategic or regulatory deadlines.
- SQL.
- Python.

- Stakeholder Management – Primarily manages stakeholders related to the project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project’s deliverables.
- Risk and Issue Management – Focuses on risks and issues specific to the project and mitigates them within the project’s scope.
- Resource Management – Ensures the project team has the necessary skills, tools and time to complete the work.
- Financial Management – Manages the budget of the specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.
- Metrics – Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time and budget.
- Change Management – Manages changes that directly impact the project, including scope changes, timelines or resource allocation adjustments.
