Apply for the Principal AI and Data Architect
Location: London
Job Description:

Hybrid – London (4–6 days per month) | £100,000–£110,000 incl. car allowance

An established Microsoft-focused consultancy is investing heavily in its Data & AI capability and is looking for a commercially minded Data Architect to help shape the future of a rapidly growing division.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role combining solution architecture, stakeholder engagement, and presales consultancy. You’ll work closely with enterprise and not-for-profit customers, leading discovery workshops, architecting modern data solutions, and helping organisations maximise the value of the Microsoft data ecosystem.

The business already has a strong delivery function in place — now they need someone who can confidently lead conversations in the room, influence stakeholders, and design scalable data strategies that delivery teams can execute against.

The Opportunity

You’ll join an established data team with ambitious growth plans to scale significantly over the next few years. This role sits at the centre of that expansion and offers genuine progression into divisional leadership as the practice grows.

The role is heavily focused on:

  • Presales engagement and solution shaping
  • Running discovery and fit-gap analysis workshops
  • Stakeholder management across corporate and not-for-profit sectors
  • Designing modern Microsoft data architectures
  • Guiding delivery teams with scalable technical direction

This is not a hands‑on engineering/build role — instead, it’s ideal for someone who understands the architecture deeply enough to guide teams, influence customers, and own the technical vision.

What They’re Looking For

Key experience includes:

  • Strong background in modern data architecture
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Understanding of big data and analytics solutions
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
  • Ability to lead technical conversations with senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting presales activities and client workshops
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Experience within the not-for-profit sector would be beneficial, but the core focus is strong data fundamentals and architectural capability.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to help build and shape a growing Data & AI division
  • Highly visible role with influence across presales and delivery
  • Work with enterprise-level Microsoft technologies
  • Strong leadership backing and investment in growth
  • Clear long-term progression opportunities
  • Flexible hybrid working model

Location

Hybrid role with travel into London approximately once per week (typically 4–6 times per month).

Candidates should ideally be located within roughly two hours of London.

£100,000–£110,000 package inclusive of car allowance.
