Help turn data into insights that protect the nation’s health. UKHSA is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support the development of high-impact data products, including dashboards used to monitor public health and inform critical decisions.

About the role: You’ll join the Data Product Development team, working on dashboards and platforms that provide vital health data to both internal teams and external partners. This includes services covering COVID-19, respiratory illnesses, outbreaks, and wider health risks. Working in an agile environment, you’ll collaborate with product, design and data teams to understand user needs and translate them into effective, user-focused data products. This is a great opportunity to work on complex, meaningful projects that directly support public health outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Gathering and defining business and user requirements
  • Translating complex problems into clear, deliverable solutions
  • Supporting the development of dashboards and data products
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities
  • Analysing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Contributing to business cases and evaluating potential solutions
  • Supporting testing, usability and delivery of new features

Qualifications

  • Strong experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Ability to translate user needs into clear requirements and solutions
  • Experience with business process modelling and analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
