IT Asset Officer | East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust

As an IT Asset Officer you will provide IT hardware and software asset management to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and external organisations such as Morecambe Bay ICB (Integrated Care Board).

You will gain valuable experience working in an environment where IT is central to the delivery of good patient care, supported by significant investment in the I3 service to enable the Trust-wide implementation of our ePR (Electronic Patient Record) and associated technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT hardware and software asset management support to the Trust and external organisations.
• Work alongside I3 technical teams to grant engineers access to hardware and software assets.
• Update IT asset information records in the Trust’s IT Asset Management system.
• Manage your own workload independently while collaborating with the team to meet SLA targets.
• Handle day‑to‑day activities for the full lifecycle of IT assets, including obtaining quotes, raising requisitions, coordinating receipt and booking‑in of goods, storage, deployment and decommissioning.
• Accurately record asset details in the Trust IT Asset Management System.
• Lead the day‑to‑day management of the Trust’s IT Asset storage areas.
• Travel between hospital sites and Primary Care sites to ensure stock levels are appropriately maintained.
