Band 6 – Clinical Lead; Full Time – Health-Based Place of Safety; Location: Farnham Road Hospital – Guildford.
Farnham Road Hospital is seeking an experienced Band 6 nursing professional to lead and support the Health-Based Place of Safety team.
Main duties of the job
- Assist the Ward Manager in coordinating defined roles and responsibilities within the team on an ongoing basis.
- Support the Ward Manager to ensure the team nursing system operates effectively.
- Collaborate with the Ward Manager to review, modify and update risk assessments and care plans.
- Provide professional nursing advice to team staff and allied professionals.
- Support staff through appraisal, supervision and continuous professional development.
- Prepare evidence for CQC inspections and ensure completion of clinical audits.
- Manage complaints and concerns about patient care, develop improvement plans and implement remedial action.
- Assist the Manager in setting, monitoring and maintaining standards of care, and advise on clinical issues affecting practice standards.
- Deputise for the Ward Manager and provide cover in their absence; may assume operational management responsibilities such as time‑sheet sign‑off and expense authorisation when required.
- Act as a positive role model for colleagues regarding professional conduct and practice.
Qualifications
- Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Experience
- Extensive experience as a nurse leader.

Salary: £39,205 to £47,084 per year, inclusive of 5% Fringe HCAS, pro rata.
