Senior Clinical Fellow – Neurosurgery | Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Overview

NUH is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated senior Trust Grade doctor or above to support the neurosurgical department. The placement is for 12 months initially, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient services (theatres and clinics) under consultant supervision
• Contribute to the emergency out of hours rota
• Supervise daily ward rounds
• Conduct patient management in line with plans agreed with the Consultants
• Support and teach junior colleagues effectively
• Participate in M&M and MDT meetings
• Contribute to Quality & Improvement Projects within the department
• Attend departmental meetings

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have previous neurosurgery registrar experience (or equivalent), a full MRCS, and experience working within the NHS. A commitment to the out of hours rota is required.
