Advanced Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (Veterans)

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: £38,149 plus staff benefits

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with organisations across Scotland already engaging veterans
• Practice persistent engagement to help Veterans who struggle to receive support
• Deliver personalised 1:1 support
• Deliver Group-Based Lifestyle Management Courses
• Engage with family members in group settings
• Develop the role of Veteran Peers
• Connect veterans with the wider community and partner services
• Use a monitoring, evaluation and reporting framework to learn and develop practice

Qualifications & Experience

• Health and social care practitioner with experience supporting people living with long term physical and mental health conditions to self‑manage
• Experience supporting vulnerable people who experience significant psychosocial barriers and health inequalities
• Belief that people have strengths, are resilient and are experts in their own lives
• Ability to work autonomously in community settings
• Good solution‑focused coaching and group facilitation skills
