Overview
The Principal Psychologist – Clinical Lead role is part of a multidisciplinary leadership team driving the ongoing transformation of our service.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Consultant Clinical Lead, other Clinical Leads, and Team Managers to lead change and transformation.
- Take a key clinical leadership role alongside other Psychological Clinical Leads.
- Lead the implementation and delivery of psychological interventions, including Structured Clinical Management.
- Provide clinical leadership, direct formulation and intervention.
- Deliver training, service development, and consultation to others.
- Conduct group and one‑to‑one clinical supervision.
- Take part in service evaluation.
Qualifications
- Interest and training in trauma‑informed care approaches such as Mentalisation‑Based Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, or Structured Clinical Management.
- Experience working with individuals with relational and emotional difficulties, often diagnosed as Personality Disorder.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a psychological and psychologically‑informed framework and to apply a range of Clinical Psychologist capacities.
- Strong networking and supervision skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
