Senior Staff Nurse

Senior Staff Nurse – North Staffordshire Hospital

Full-time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week, with weekend work. Pro rata salary up to £46,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
• Use excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs.
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.
• Contribute to scheduling and rosters, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body and hold relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC.
• Post‑registration experience with knowledge of mentoring and multi‑specialty surgical procedures.
• Qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.
