About the Role

WinstonWay Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor toplay a key role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning andachieve positive outcomes.

Youwill work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals topromote positive behaviour, deliver targeted interventions, and build asupportive and inclusive school environment.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with challenging behaviour (1:1,small group, and whole class)
  • Develop and implement individual behaviour plans
  • Lead behaviour interventions and monitor their impact and effectiveness
  • Support the reintegration of pupils following suspension or absence
  • Coach and mentor pupils to improve behaviour, attendance, and engagement
  • Train and support staff in effective behaviour management strategies
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers and external agencies (e.g.CAMHS, social services)
  • Track behaviour data and contribute to school improvement initiatives
  • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety andwellbeing of all pupils

About You

We are lookingfor someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with challengingbehaviour
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident delivering interventions and training staff
  • Understands safeguarding, behaviour strategies, and pupil supportframeworks
  • Is organised, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
