Locum Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Medicine

Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic and cheerful Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant to join its multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient expertise in Endocrinology and Diabetes.
• Attend four outpatient clinics each week, in addition to antenatal clinics and inpatient general medicine work.
• Perform 10 programmed activities (PAs) consisting of inpatient and outpatient duties and on‑call commitments.
• Participate in the general medicine rota, initially 1:15 shift, and collaborate with Acute Medicine clinicians.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the diabetes and antenatal services, shaping the service and the consultant’s job plan over time.
• Develop the role to suit the successful candidate’s special interests.
