Veterinary Surgeon

Part Time Vet – 24 hours per week, mainly Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

We are an independent Branch of the RSPCA located in Fareham. Our workspace is the Ark, a well‑equipped vet clinic used for shelter medicine.

Job Description

Work alongside a highly experienced Senior Vet and Practice Manager. No weekends, evenings or OOH shifts currently. Occasional weekend welfare days may be offered in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care to animals entering the shelter.
• Assist senior vet with routine and emergency treatments.
• Support rehoming efforts for pets, farm animals and exotics.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Some prior experience in charity or shelter medicine settings.

Remuneration

The salary is £30 per hour (£37,440 per annum), plus CPD allowance.
